Komodo Liveaboard Itinerary Pink Beach Manta Point Taka Makassar

My Komodo liveaboard itinerary was an absolute dream, particularly during the April to November window, which truly delivered on its promise of calm seas and incredible underwater visibility. We booked a 3D2N trip, departing on a Friday from Labuan Bajo, which seems to be the standard for open trips. Island Hopping and Dragon Trekking

We started with an early morning hike to the Padar Island sunrise viewpoint, a truly striking sight that makes the climb worth every step. After Padar, we embarked on Komodo dragon trekking with licensed rangers. The ranger fee for this was IDR 150,000, shared per group. The underwater world was a highlight of the Komodo liveaboard itinerary. We spent a considerable amount of time snorkeling at Pink Beach, marveling at the vibrant coral and diverse marine life. Then it was off to Manta Point, and it did not disappoint. We encountered several majestic manta rays gracefully gliding through the water – an experience I’ll never forget. Another stunning stop was Taka Makassar, a pristine sandbank that emerges from the sea, creating an idyllic spot for swimming and photography. Our days typically ended with a visit to Kalong Island for the spectacular flying fox sunset. Watching thousands of bats take flight against the setting sun was a magical and surprisingly peaceful end to our adventurous days. The clarity of the water during this season made all the difference to our snorkeling and diving experiences.
